Leadership Knoxville’s mission is “we build a stronger Knoxville by developing people and groups, leading to a greater community.” This is accomplished through leadership programs, community workshops, and events designed to inspire, challenge and connect people at all levels of leadership development.
A ten-month long skills building program; Leadership Knoxville’s Flagship program offers class members the opportunity to further develop and enhance their personal leadership skills while learning more about the community, our history, opportunities and challenges. With the benefit of new perspectives and connections, participants are prepared to serve more effectively in various leadership capacities across the region.

The Leadership Knoxville Scholars program is an innovative approach to leadership education through community partnerships. The program targets current rising junior leaders in a cohort style model in collaboration with the University of Tennessee. A highly selective and competitive program, the Leadership Knoxville Scholars targets the best and brightest student leaders at The University of Tennessee and connects them to impactful change agents and leaders within the Knoxville community.
Youth Leadership Knoxville began with the intent of giving high school students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of Knoxville and develop leadership skills that will encourage and inspire them to become involved and committed to our community. Rising high school juniors may apply.
Connect Knox is a Civic Solution Lab geared towards addressing our communities most pressing issues and putting people and organizations together to create the most change.
Leadership Knoxville offers training in the art of facilitation – the ability to lead groups in identifying and achieving their goals, in an effort to function at their most productive levels. Emphasis is placed on achieving a common vision, then using it to create a strategic plan with identified goals, objectives and action items.
