Whether new to Knoxville or having lived here for many years, this comprehensive opportunity will connect you with the people, issues and resources that impact Knoxville’s future.

Essential FAQ’s

Participating in Introduction Knoxville is an investment in your future. It is ideal for professionals who have recently moved to the Knoxville area, those who have accepted new positions of greater responsibility in Knoxville businesses and those who want to become more civically engaged in the community.

  • Sessions are held in a variety of unique locations to acquaint class members with Knoxville’s treasures.
  • Field trips, tours, networking, outstanding speakers and plenty of opportunity to connect with area leaders is provided.
  • Classes are limited to 54 participants and fill up quickly.
  • Acceptance is based on date of application and receipt of the registration fee.
  • The cost of the six-week program is $1,800 which covers the cost of all materials, transportation, dinners, speakers and venues.  Often companies will fund tuition from continuing education and professional development budgets.

Our Programs

A ten-month long skills building program; Leadership Knoxville’s Flagship program offers class members the opportunity to further develop and enhance their personal leadership skills while learning more about the community, our history, opportunities and challenges.

The Leadership Knoxville Scholars program is an innovative approach to leadership education through community partnerships. The program targets current rising junior leaders in a cohort style model in collaboration with the University of Tennessee.

Youth Leadership Knoxville began with the intent of giving high school students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of Knoxville and develop leadership skills that will encourage and inspire them to become involved and committed to our community.

Connect Knox is a Civic Solution Lab geared towards addressing our communities most pressing issues and putting people and organizations together to create the most change.
