A company earns and maintains its reputation, good or bad, by how each member of its team conducts himself or herself every day. This reputation is earned, not bestowed.
A company with a long-established reputation for fair and ethical conduct can irrevocably destroy years of trust and goodwill with a customer, a supplier or an employee through just one ethical lapse by a single individual. Therefore, it is essential that a company provides every member of its workforce with a clear vision of the company’s mission and an ingrained sense of individual purpose and accountability.
