What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

My vision of Knoxville 10 years from now is that Knoxville would a community of inclusivity and progressive leadership. I would hope that Knoxville will become a place that improves work-life balance. That Knoxville is known as a welcoming community for all.

What are you reading that is on your nightstand?

Jim Haslam’s book “Co-Piloting”; Bruce Wheeler’s book “Knoxville, Tennessee, A Mountain City in the New South”

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

The 1982 World’s Fair; my four undergraduate years at UT.

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

“Always do the right thing.” Jim Haslam, II

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

Work hard. Have fun. Find God. Take care of your family, friends and others. Exercise. Life will work out fine.
