What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

Knoxville will be an inclusive, vibrant, bustling metropolis where local business, educators, artists and innovators thrive, and where travelers from all over choose to stay while enjoying the beauty of our city and the endless natural attractions within a stone’s throw.

The Turn of the Key-Ruth Ware, Behold the Dreamers-Imbolo Mbue, Fast Feast Repeat – Gin Stephens, The Ballard of Songbirds & Snakes- Suzanne Collins

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

There is no way to limit it to one, I have so many favorites. My first UT Football Game, The Vol Navy, Boomsday, Sundown in the City, Rhythm & Blooms, Garth Brooks in Neyland Stadium, endless shows in the TN & Bijou Theaters after they were renovated, living downtown, the list goes on and on.

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

Everyone gets out of bed and puts their pants on the same way – Gary Grove (my Father)

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

You can do and be anything you want to in this world but be honest and kind, ALWAYS.
